Faconnable
Faรงonnable is a French luxury retailer specializing in tailored men's and women's clothing. Jean Goldberg founded the company in 1950 in Nice, France as a small custom tailor shop. The year of 1961means a great change for the company, because it was taken over by Goldberg's son, Albert, who renamed it Faรงonnable. The word comes from "Faรงonner," meaning "to create." He placed an accent on prรชt-ร -porter segment of production. The company grew rapidly and opened its boutique in such cities as Monte Carlo, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Lyon, Marseilles and Paris. In 2000 the company was sold to Nordstrom Inc., and in late 2007 to Lebanese private equity group M1 Group. The company entered the world of perfumery in 1994 and has launched 7 perfumes for men and women so far.
